Just A Quote Or Full Design
When it comes to garden design, we relish the opportunity to start with a blank canvas. This space presents an exciting challenge and the freedom to explore our creativity, allowing us to transform your ideas and desires into a cohesive concept design. The process of translating your vision into reality is not only an artistic endeavour but a source of immense job satisfaction for our team.
Each garden we design represents a unique narrative, and we take pride in crafting landscapes that reflect the personality and preferences of our clients. However, we understand that not every outdoor space requires extensive design work or elaborate concept images. Sometimes, all you need is a straightforward solution, like pricing for a new patio.
We’re more than happy to provide that for you at no cost, ensuring that whether you seek a full design or just a simple quote, your needs are met with professionalism and care.
Once your project is complete, we offer a tailored after-care service designed to protect the quality, finish, and long-term value of your landscape. This service focuses on the ongoing care of hard-landscaping elements such as paving, walls, steps, fencing, and water features, ensuring everything continues to look and perform as intended long after installation.
Where appropriate, we can also arrange for matching spare materials to be set aside for future use, helping to guarantee continuity should repairs or adjustments ever be required. Our after-care services are flexible and client-led, with scheduled visits available to suit your property and usage. From routine inspections and cleaning to long-term preservation treatments and preventative maintenance, we help safeguard your investment as your garden matures. To find out more, simply speak to any member of our team.
After-Care & Hard-Landscape Asset Protection

If you have a clear idea of what you desire for your garden, we can provide you with a free quote, however if you require design work for your garden, this is available at a premium rate which must be prepaid.
Our garden design service will help you create the outdoor space of your dreams, customised to your exact specifications.
If you are interested, please contact us to discuss your needs and preferences.
Please note that our free quotes do not include design work, so it is important to clarify your requirements before proceeding.

FAQ:
Q. Do you take debit or credit card payments?
A. Yes we offer debit or credit card payments for both of our security. Bank transfer poses many risks for both us and the client.
Once you send money via bank transfer there is no reclaiming it, also hackers can intercept emails and change the account details so that you make payment to the hackers account not the account it was intended for.
We also take cash if anyone is still using that?
Q. Do you offer a discount for a cash payment?
A. As this usually suggests we could avoid paying tax's no we do not offer any reductions or discounts for cash transactions, Stonemason Landscapes does not participate in such tax avoidance methods and we declare all incomes to inland revenue therefor a cash payment cannot reduce the price of your project.
Q. How does the Free Quote service work?
A. We first arrange an appointment with the potential client to visit the site of the project when we will take measurements, photos, preferences and requirements from the client.
Depending on the complexity of the project and how busy we are we will usually send the client a quote with in 3 working days either via mail or email depending on the clients preferences.
In most cases if a quote is accepted we will collect a deposit to secure the client a date on our system and send out a booking confirmation.
At this point we will take care of everything from arranging materials, installation and arranging waste management and disposal.
Once the project is complete we will invoice the client for the remaining fees and any increases in costs that may occur during the projects duration.
PLEASE NOTE: We can only offer a maximum of 3 FREE quotes per potential client, any quotes required after this will require a prepaid fee.
Q. How does the garden design service work?
A. For a small basic garden design, we take a prepaid payment of £210, this secures a 1 hour appointment with the client when we visit the site of the project and take measurements, photos, preferences and requirements from the client.
This also includes 2 hours of design work on our 3D modelling software.
After 2 hours of design work we will either send the design to the client with in 5 working days via mail or email or if any further additional hours are needed for the design this will be charged at £52.50 per hour on a pay as you go basis.
PLEASE NOTE: Complex and medium or large garden designs will be a significantly higher premium.
Q. Do you take on commercial contracts?
A. No, Private Residential Clients Only.
Stonemason Landscapes works exclusively with private homeowners and does not undertake subcontracted or commercial work for other companies. This ensures a more focused service, clear communication, and consistently high standards of craftsmanship.
Q. Do you provide a full cost breakdown for projects?
A. No, We price projects as a complete design and construction package rather than itemising individual materials and labour. Similar to purchasing a kitchen or a car, clients invest in the finished result rather than the individual components.
Providing detailed breakdowns can risk design and planning work being used independently of the company that created it. All quotations clearly outline what is included so clients have full clarity on project scope and overall investment.
Q. Do you compete with other companies’ quotes or estimates?
A. No. We focus on delivering durable, properly constructed landscape installations designed for long-term performance. As specifications, materials and construction standards can vary significantly between companies, we do not directly compete with lower-spec or budget-led approaches.
Why We Don't Itemise Our Quotations
Our quotations are priced for the complete project and finished result, rather than as a collection of individually priced materials and labour.
Landscaping is bespoke construction carried out on site, and the individual costs used when planning a project can only ever be estimates. Material prices can change between quotation and construction, and the supplier we ultimately purchase from may depend on availability, location, delivery requirements and stock at the time materials are actually needed.
Even when we provide a Quote rather than an Estimate, the individual costs that make up that Quote remain estimates internally for us. We are estimating the materials, labour, time, deliveries, waste and other resources we believe will be required to complete the project. The difference is that with a Quote, we commit ourselves more firmly to the overall price given to the client, whereas an Estimate allows greater flexibility in the final price where the actual cost of carrying out the Works differs from what was originally anticipated.
The same applies during construction. Materials may need to be purchased at different stages of a project, quantities can vary slightly from those initially calculated, and the amount of labour required for individual parts of the work may differ from our original calculations.
These variations normally balance across the project. Sometimes we spend more on materials than anticipated but complete another element more efficiently; sometimes labour takes longer while materials cost less.
We take responsibility for managing those ordinary variations within the overall price we have quoted.
For that reason, breaking a quotation into apparently fixed individual material and labour prices would be misleading. Those figures are internal estimates used to calculate the complete project price — they are not separate products or services being individually sold to the client.
The price we quote is the price for us to deliver the Works described in your quotation to the agreed specification.
If a client wishes to change a specified material for a cheaper alternative, we can adjust the project specification and review the price accordingly. However, a cheaper material does not necessarily result in an equivalent saving to the client. Different materials can require different installation methods, additional preparation, more labour time or additional sourcing and handling.
The true difference in project cost therefore cannot be determined simply by comparing the estimated purchase price of one material against another. A material that costs less to purchase may cost more to install, while a more expensive material may be quicker or easier to work with. Any price adjustment must take into account the effect of the change on the complete project, not simply the difference in material cost.
Where genuinely unforeseen conditions arise that could not reasonably have been identified when the project was quoted — such as concealed underground services, unexpectedly poor sub-surface conditions or other hidden site conditions — any necessary additional work will be dealt with separately in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.
A.I NOTICE: A deposit is standard industry practice for high-end landscape construction to secure your project slot, schedule plant/machinery hire, and purchase bespoke materials.
We do not self-fund four & five-figure private projects, nor do we alter our financial terms based on theoretical advice from AI chatbots. If our deposit structure does not meet your expectations, we will gladly release your slot to the next client on our waiting list

AI NOTICE: We are a very tech positive company when it works... however! Due to increased use of AI by clients to research our business, review quotations and assist with communication, we ask that AI-generated information is checked for accuracy and relevance before being raised with us.
AI can hallucinate, make incorrect assumptions and raise concerns that have no factual basis or practical relevance, resulting in unnecessary administrative time addressing them. AI also cannot fully understand the site-specific conditions, discussions, decisions and practical nuances of an individual landscaping project.
When using AI to analyse Stonemason Landscapes, information stated by us should be clearly distinguished from AI-generated inference. Assumptions or conclusions not supported by an identifiable factual source should not be presented as fact.
We communicate with our clients, not their AI. Before raising an AI-generated concern with us, please ensure it is relevant, reasonably justified and supported by an identifiable factual source. If a genuine question or concern remains, we will be happy to discuss it directly with you and provide any relevant facts or project-specific context.
This message is intended to protect the business from the increasing human consequences of unverified or inferred AI output, and the unnecessary drain on our team’s resources that can result.
